Speaker Bio
John Darby is a partner in the firm’s corporate department.
In that capacity he advises in a wide range of corporate
matters including mergers and acquisitions, commercial
agreements, competition law and corporate governance.
He graduated in law from University College Dublin
in 1997 and holds a diploma in law from L’Universite
des Sciences Sociales, Toulouse. He also holds a diploma
in European law from the University of Amsterdam and
is an associate of the Irish Institute of Taxation.
John is a regular speaker in the area of business law
and is a lecturer in the Law Society of Ireland in its
business law module. He has also contributed to the
Law Society of Ireland’s handbooks in Business Law,
Banking and Corporate Financial Services and Environmental
Law.
John is a member of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce
and the Ireland –US Chamber of Commerce. He is also
a fluent French speaker.
A keen tennis player, John is currently President of
Mount Pleasant Lawn Tennis Club, Ranelagh.
